Product Review Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern your conduct associated with the Proper Review and Ratings program on this website. We hold the right to change the conditions by updating the Terms and Conditions online at anytime.

The Program

The program enables Proper Reviewers that have shown registered and shown interest, selected by Home Timber and Hardware to post ratings and reviews about particular products that are sold in Home Timber and Hardware stores (ensure that you contact stores directly to confirm stock availability). If you choose to use the service, we require that you comply with these terms and conditions.

Your age and contact details

You acknowledge and agree that you must be at least 18 years old to register to be a Proper Reviewer. You agree that we may contact you about the opportunity to review products via the email address that you register with. The Proper Reviewer program is only open to Australian Resident, with an Australian Address.

Usage Guidelines

You are responsible for the content that you submit and you must ensure that your content complies with our Proper Review Guidelines Provided that your content complies with the Terms and Conditions we will generally post ratings and written comments within ten (10) business days of you providing it to us. We may remove posts from our website from time to time for various reasons including availability, seasonality, and product update.

Proper Reviewer program is not open to employees, or any of its related corporations or any of their agencies associated with the Program; and are not a spouse, defacto spouse, parent, child or sibling (whether natural or by adoption) of such an employee; and Competitor or Supplier of Home Timber and Hardware. You further agree and warrant that you shall not submit any content:

that is known by you to be false, inaccurate or misleading;
that infringes any third party´s copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret or other proprietary rights or rights of publicity or privacy;
that violates any law, statute, ordinance or regulation (including, but not limited to, those governing export control, consumer protection, unfair competition, anti-discrimination or false advertising);
that is, or may reasonably be considered to be, defamatory, libellous, hateful, racially or religiously biased or offensive, unlawfully threatening or unlawfully harassing to any individual, partnership or corporation;
for which you were compensated or granted any consideration by any third party;
that includes any information that references other websites, addresses, email addresses, contact information or phone numbers;
that contains any computer viruses, worms or other potentially damaging computer programs or files.

For any content that you submit, you grant Home Timber and Hardware a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, transferable right and license to use, copy, modify, delete in its entirety, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from and/or sell and/or distribute such content and/or incorporate such content into any form, medium or technology throughout the world without compensation to you.

By submitting your email address in connection with your rating and review, you agree that Home Timber and Hardware and its third party service providers may use your email address to contact you about the status of your review and for other marketing purposes.

Completion of Review.

If selected to complete a Home Timber and Hardware Proper Review, as a Proper Reviewer you agree to complete the review by advised deadline.

Once you have been selected as a Proper Review:

An approval email will be sent advising that you have been selected
Product will be sent to the address that you have supplied in your registration, within 10 Business days of the approval email being sent
Use the product and adhere to the usage guidelines to complete the product review

All mandatory areas of the review will need to be completed in full.

Products for Review

All products must be used to the correct specifications and safety guidelines advised by the manufacturer.

Safety equipment must be used when advised by the manufacturer.

The reviewer will not be compensated for any additional purchases made to complete the product review.

Once the review has been completed and approved by Home Timber and Hardware ownership of the product will transfer to the reviewer, at no cost.

via Australia Post registered mail service, within 10 business days of the review deadline advised in the approval email, at the cost of the reviewer.
