Secure Online Shopping
Every time Home Timber & Hardware collects your personal information (such as your billing address, contact details and so on), a secure connection via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology is established with your web browser to ensure that your details are encrypted and securely communicated to us, safe from prying eyes or malicious threats.
Comprehensive security measures and access controls are in place to protect customer information collected and stored on our servers and systems, and ensure that these details are only accessible by authorised personnel for authorised reasons.
These security measures are routinely tested and validated by independent security companies in order to provide the highest levels of security to protect customer information.
Home Timber & Hardware will provide some of your Personal Information to your nominated store for the purpose of confirming your identity when collecting your purchased goods from the store.
Home Timber & Hardware will not be liable for any loss suffered by you if our third party services are subject fraud or security/data breaches.
Online purchases are made easily and securely using your credit card (Visa and MasterCard), Afterpay, humm, PayPal or ZipPay details. Unfortunately, at present, we cannot accept Home Timber & Hardware gift cards or store credit for online purchases.
Payments are verified and funds are taken from your account straight away.
Please note that your email receipts will show payments going to the account of Mitre 10 Australia Pty Ltd, this is correct as it is one of the companies in our group.
Credit Card Security
When you provide your credit card details they are securely transferred by a 2048 bit SSL 3.0 Certificate to a site that specialises in managing credit card information (namely, Braintree). Home Timber & Hardware does not store your credit card details in our site or otherwise.
Home Timber & Hardware implements the Fraud Protection services of Braintree to prevent the unauthorised use of customer credit cards by unauthorised individuals. Real-time technology from their partner Kount evaluates hundreds of data points for every transaction to reduce fraudulent transaction attempts, all in just milliseconds. If fraud is detected then the transaction will be flagged as fraudulent and not passed to the bank. This provides an effective mechanism to protect customers and their credit cards from fraud.

Online & In-Store Pricing
From time to time, we may promote "online only offers" which can vary from your local store advertising. If you would like to check the price in your local store, select Find a Store and enter your postcode. This will display a list of closest stores that you can easily contact to confirm a price.
