Dulux Concrete & Paving Crushed Pebble Effect is a beautiful, water-based finishing coat that adds an extra dimension to projects. Individualise concrete surfaces in your preferred colour to achieve a decorative effect that is easy to keep clean and withstands high traffic areas for a durable, lasting finish. Dulux Concrete & Paving Crushed Pebble Effect is the third and final stage in transforming your surface with the Dulux Concrete & Paving system.
Must Use Crushed Pebble Effect Roller To Apply Crushed Pebble Effect Topcoat.
For use on bare concrete and Sealed surfaces, once appropriate preparation has been completed using the Dulux Concrete & Paving Stage 1 and 2.
Use the Preparation table above to determine which cleaner/s and primer/s will be required.
Stir well before and during application with a broad, flat paddle using an up-and-down scooping action.
Apply an even first coating of Dulux Concrete & Paving Decorative Texture using the Dulux Aggregate roller (recommended) and a good quality brush: 50-65mm. Apply from a roller tray or pour directly from the container. Work in areas of approximately 1m x 1m NOTE: The first coat will act as the base coat and it will not completely cover the surface by design. Avoid over-application on the first coat.
Allow to dry for 3-4 hours between coats, then repeat steps 2 and 3. Two coats are necessary, additional coats may be required to hide previous surface imperfections or cover over contrasting colours.
NOTE: Do not thin. For large projects, consider using a texture sprayer with a 4mm tip. Spray in 1.2m X 1.2m sections and back roll with Dulux Aggregate roller. For touch up, make sure you are using the same application method that was originally used to apply the paint.
Pouring tips:
Pour a circular shape up to a 300mm diameter
Spread with a roller from the centre outwards, apply moderate pressure to the roller and push the coating outwards in multiple directions to evenly distribute
Work quickly and overlap the previously coated areas to ensure full coverage
Avoid regular patterns and knock down hard edges using the roller.
NOTE: Pouring can help spread the coating quickly however it may reduce the overall spread rate.
