Brickies’ Own is a concentrated plasticiser that enhances mortar properties. It has air-entraining properties that increase the smoothness, strength, adhesion, and workability of mortar, render, and other sand/cement mixes. Improves flexibility and durability, and reduces the cracking and weakening effects of thermal expansion/contraction and frost. It is suitable for mortars made on all colours of sand, including white sand. Formulated to have clear amber-coloured liquid to make it easier to measure, mix, and dilute than powder-based plasticisers. Just this 1L pack makes 20L of diluted plasticiser that is sufficient to lay up to 250,000 standard bricks, the diluted solution can be used for up to 12 months as long as the liquid is clear and is stored in a cool location. Can be used in both sand/cement and sand/lime/cement mixes. Manufactured to conform with AS 1478.
